Mr. Eric Alan DeBord, age 50, of Olive Hill, passed away Saturday morning, Sept. 10, 2016, at his residence.
He was born March 2, 1966, in Fort Knox, a son of Jolene Flannery Debord and the late James Luckins Debord.
Eric was of the Christian faith and a member of the Dry Branch Church of God and worked as a self-employed mechanic. He was also a member of the Olive Hill Masonic Lodge # 629. Eric enjoyed riding buggies, camping, spending time with his friends, and especially spending time with his little girl, Grayce.
In addition to his mother, Jolene Flannery DeBord, Eric is survived by his wife of 14 years, Tina Binion Debord; one daughter, Olivia Grayce DeBord of Olive Hill; and three brothers and two sisters-in-law, Ernie and Teresa DeBord of Olive Hill, David and Donna DeBord of Morehead, Timothy DeBord of Olive Hill. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13, 2016, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Jimmie Binion, Brother Gayle Price and Brother Tippie Price officiating. Burial will follow in the Tick Ridge Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, Sept. 12, 2016, and until the service hour Tuesday at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West US Highway 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
A masonic service will be conducted Monday at 7 p.m. by the Olive Hill Masonic Lodge #629.
Shelby Nichols, Randy Nichols, Shannon Nichols, Stanley Nichols, Bill Maddix, Jamie Flannery, Ernie DeBord, David DeBord, and Timothy DeBord will serve as pallbearers.
