Edna's Story

Edna Mae Cook Caudill, 86, of Grayson passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017 at the Cater Nursing and rehab. Edna was born Nov. 25, 1930 in Logan, WV to the parents Orah Bishop and Alta Cook both of West Virginia. Edna was a homemaker and care giver. Edna fostered many children and ran her own care home for the elderly. Edna was also the queen of Avon for many years. Edna loved to go out dancing and spending time with her family. Including her parents Edna was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 49 years, Jerry George Caudill; a son, Scott Douglas Caudill; a sister, Carol Stewart; and four great grandchildren. Edna is survived by a brother, James Stewart of Grayson; a daughter in-law, Mary Middleton of Grayson; a daughter, Cheryl Morrison of Grayson; a son in-law, Fred Morrison of Olive Hill; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends who love and will sadly miss her. Funeral services were 2 pm Sunday January 29, 2017 at the Malone Funeral Home in Grayson with Keith Hill officiating. Burial followed in the Cane Creek Cemetery.
