Mr. Delmar Logan Jr., age 79, of Olive Hill, passed away Friday morning, September 29, 2017, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
He was born October 9, 1937, in Lewis County, a son of the late Belvin and Emily Sexton Logan.
Delmar lived his life for the Lord and was a dedicated pastor of Flat Fork Church of God for over 25 years. He enjoyed visiting the sick, attending church services and in his spare time going fishing and being outdoors.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Marlon Wayne Logan; three brothers, Clayton Logan, Arthur Logan, and Arnold Logan; and one sister, Lucille Jessie.
Delmar is survived by his wife of 59 years, Betty Jo Webb Logan; one daughter and son-in-law, Janet Wallace and Butch of Hillsboro; one brother and sister-in-law, John Logan and Betty of Olive Hill; two sisters and two brothers-in-law, Grace Perak and Paul of Gary, Indiana, and Minnie Roberts and Marvin of Grayson; and one grandson, Jacob Lee Hargett of Lexington. He also leaves many nieces and nephews, other family members, church family and friends who will always love and miss him dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Greg Kiser, Brother Gary Madden and Brother Steve Madden officiating. Burial will follow in the Flat Fork Cemetery in Carter County.
Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, October 2, 2017 and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home.
Mike Logan, Greg Kiser, Preston Hall, David Debord, James Darrell Fultz and Bill Bradley will serve as pallbearers. Pete Davis, Buddy Hall, Chalmer Rayburn and Cecil Fraley will serve as honorary pallbearers.
