Deborah Lewis Meenach-Combs, 60, of Grayson went to be with her Lord Monday, June 13, 2016 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Deborah was born Oct. 27, 1955 in West Liberty, a daughter of Betty Lewis of West Liberty and the late Zules Lewis. Deborah was also preceded in death by two siblings, Patricia Ann Lewis and David Z. Lewis.
Deborah graduated from Morehead State University with multiple degrees in education; and Deborah earned her National Certification in Education; and was a retired Family Consumer Sciences teacher at the East Carter Middle School for over 30 years; encouraging, nurturing, and developing young minds. Deborah was a member of the Bagby United Methodist Church, the Rotary Club in Grayson, the Grayson Area Chamber of Commerce, and an active participant in virtually every community centered organization in the Grayson area.
Deborah is survived by her loving husband, Don Combs; children, Steven (Chasity) Meenach of Grayson; Matthew (Amy McDavid) Meenach of Grayson; Miranda (John) Harvey of Lexington; grandchildren Cadence, Karmen Meenach and Shayla Colley all of Grayson; and Calvin and McCoy Harvey of Lexington; siblings Donna (Jon) Blossom of Fayetteville, NC; Alan (Joyce) Lewis of West Liberty; Kristi (Alex) Cantrell of West Liberty; Becky (Don) Feldman of Cincinnati OH; and a host of nieces and nephews who dearly loved their Aunt Debbie.
Funeral services will be 1 pm Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Bagby United Methodist Church with Musial Pearson officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis Family Cemetery in West Liberty.
