Christine Knipp Holbrook, age 74, of Olive Hill, passed away Wednesday morning, October 18, 2017, at St. Claire Regional Medical Center in Morehead.
She was born May 1, 1943, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Basil and Myrtle Barker Knipp.
Christine was of the Baptist faith and worked at Cowdens Sewing Factory in Olive Hill. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, William "Bill" Holbrook; one daughter, Debbie Holbrook; one granddaughter, Jessica Lewis; one great granddaughter, Linda Renae Lewis; and three brothers, Kenneth "Buck" Knipp, Clyde "Sonny" Knipp, and Robert "Bob" Knipp.
Christine is survived by four sons, Roger "Pete" Holbrook, William "Pat" Holbrook (Sue), Randy Holbrook, and Jason Holbrook, all of Olive Hill; two daughters, Shirley Tillett (Wayne) and Kathy Middleton (Roy), both of Olive Hill; eight grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; two brothers, Garland Knipp (Della Mae) and Roy Knipp, all of Olive Hill; and one sister, Phyllis Mosier of Olive Hill. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 21, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Jimmy Barker officiating. Burial followed in the Holbrook Family Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Visitation was from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, October 20, 2017, and after 9 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Jackie Knipp, Jackson Knipp, Michael Lewis, Wayne Tillett, B.A. Oney and Justin Chaffin served as pallbearers.
