Mr. Chester Dee Pelfrey, age 82, of Versailles, Indiana, formerly of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 17, 2016, at the Community Living Center in Cincinnati, Ohio.
He was born Nov. 9, 1934, in Carter County, a son of the late Clayton and Alice Cline Pelfrey.
Chester proudly served his country in the United States Army and enjoyed cooking and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Lois Stamper.
Chester is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Keesha and Johnnie Seaver of Versailles, Indiana; five grandchildren, Jordan Pelfrey, Morgan Brightwell, Cole Seaver, Autum Seaver, and Kendra Seaver; and one brother, Lester Pelfrey of Olive Hill. He also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
A memorial service will be held in Indiana at a later date.
