Mrs. Catherine Marie Barker Price, age 62, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Tuesday evening, February 6, 2018, at the Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.
She was born August 20, 1955, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, a daughter of the late Ples Lee and Emily Pauline Fillyaw Barker.
Catherine attended the Old Paint Primitive Baptist church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed shopping, quilting, working in her flowers and spending time with her family and friends, especially with her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Mellissa Sue Price, and one sister, Emily Pauline Skaggs.
Catherine is survived by her husband of 45 years, George Quentin Price; two sons, George Kevin Price and Christopher Quentin Price, both of Grayson, Kentucky; two daughters and one son-in-law, Catryna and Jarred Blevins and Summer Leighann Price, all of Grayson, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Marissa Kaitlyn Price of Lexington, Kentucky, Haley Nicole Price, Carrie Ann Price, and Kiera Leigh Price, all of Grayson, Kentucky; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Buell "Buddy" and Kathy Barker of Leland, North Carolina, James Harrison and Mary Barker of South Shore, Kentucky, Charles Edward and Eva Jane Barker of Willard, Kentucky, and Eddie Lee Barker of Hitchins, Kentucky; and one sister, Bonnie Anglin Barker of Texas. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, February 13, 2018, at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Grayson, Kentucky, with Elder John Howard, Elder Rick Howard, Elder Emerson Montgomery, and Elder Jerry Brown officiating. Burial will follow in the East Carter Memory Gardens in Grayson, Kentucky.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday, February 12, 2018, and after 9 a.m. on Tuesday at Grayson Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 49 McCoy Road, Grayson, Kentucky 41143.
Wilbur Moore, Wes Barker, Lee Barker, Josh Clark, Jay Clark, Danny Barker, David Barker, Douglas Barker, and Jeremy Clark will serve as pallbearers.
