Carsol McGlone, 70, of Olive Hill, KY entered into rest Wednesday, December 13, 2017 at UK Healthcare Center in Lexington, KY. He was born November 3, 1947, a son, of Grace Davis McGlone & the late Frank McGlone, in Oakland, Carter County, Ky.
Mr. McGlone was retired from the Carter County Board of Education where he was employed as a bus driver for 15 years and as maintenance staff for over 20 years. Carsol was a member of Kibbey Chapel for 35 years, serving as a deacon, caretaker and Sunday school superintendent. He enjoyed sitting on the front porch, talking to people and helping Ray at the auction.
In addition to his father, Carsol was preceded in death by his loving wife of 52 years, Geneva Fannin McGlone; one sister, Clevie Jordan; four half-sisters Opal McGlone, Avenell Justice, Edith Fultz and Anna May Davis Montgomery; one brother, Pat McGlone; two half-brothers, August Hamm and Junior Conn.
Carsol is survived by one son, Richard A McGlone; two brothers, Clinton McGlone (Hazel) and Arthur Ray McGlone (Linda Sue); one brother-in-law, Carl Fannin (Rosemary); one sister-in-law, Evelyn James (Phil); several nieces and nephews and a multitude of friends and church family that sadly mourn his passing.
Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at the Duvall & Moore Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Olive Hill, KY with Bro. Darryl Wilburn and Bro. Jack Hinton officiating. Burial followed in the Oakland Cemetery.
