Mrs. Carolyn Sue Harris Hamilton, age 60, of Olive Hill, passed away Sunday evening, October 22, 2017, at Cabell Huntington Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.
She was born July 21, 1957, in Carter County, a daughter of Vada Driscoll Harris of Olive Hill, and the late Kenneth Forrest Harris.
Carolyn attended the Better Life Church in Morehead, and worked until her retirement at Morehead State University. She was a member of Gerad Maggard Memorial Children's Charities and enjoyed spending time with her mother, family and friends, especially with her grandchildren.
In addition to her mother, Carolyn is survived by one son, Christopher Hamilton (Glenna Dailey) of Olive Hill; one daughter, Chelsa Hamilton of Olive Hill; two grandchildren, Cheyenne Hamilton and Colton Hamilton; one brother, Larry Harris of Olive Hill; and the father of her children, Jeffrey Hamilton. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 26, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel in Olive Hill, with Brother Clyde Holbrook officiating. Burial will follow in the Harris Cemetery on Flat Fork Road in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 25, 2017, and after 9 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
