Bobby Mayo, 85, of Grayson died Saturday, October 28, 2017 at the Community Hospice Center in Ashland. She was born December 30, 1931 in Grayson, KY; a daughter of the late Lovell and Bertha Davis.
Bobby was a loving mother, and worked at Cowden Manufacturing in Olive Hill, KY. She was a 50 year member of the New Hope Church of God of Prophecy.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Otha Mayo; three sons, Otha Edward Mayo, Ronald Dean Mayo, and Donald Gene Mayo; a grandson, Joey Sexton and a great-grandson, Casey Joe Elliott; and several brothers and sisters.
She is survived by a son, Robert "Bo" (Carol) Mayo of Grayson; three daughters, Marilyn Kay (Kenneth) Choate of Abbyville, LA; Gwen Mayo of Salty Harbor, FL and Deanna Mayo-Familton of Lexington, KY; a brother, Darrell Davis of Grant, AL; two sisters, Dorothy Kouns of Portsmouth, OH and Shirley Reed of Grayson, KY; nine grandchildren, Charlie Mayo, Christy Mayo McMillen, Bub Mayo, Carla Elliott, James Gray, Rick Horton, Mike Horton, Noah Gray, Adam Gray, and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were Tuesday, October 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the New Hope Church of God of Prophecy, Mark Griffin, minister. Entombment followed at the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation was Monday, October 30, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson.
