Billy's Story

Billy Lee Kiser, 60, went to be with the Lord after a long and arduous battle with Multiple Myeloma Cancer Thursday, April 6, 2017, in Concord, NC. He fought hard until the very end.

A private family celebration of life service will be held at a later date.

Billy was born May 12, 1956 in Grayson. He was the son of the late Earl Kiser and Madge Hignite Kiser, formerly of Grayson. Billy retired as a SFC in the US Army after 27 years of service where he served during the Vietnam Era and Gulf War. He was employed as a government contractor with Alpha Facilities Solutions in San Antonio, TX for over five years, and alike companies for a total of 15 years. He also worked at his leisure for 17 years with Pro Fabrication in Concord, NC. He loved his dog Oreo, beer, cigars, gardening and canning, in that order. He was a lifetime member of the Westway Post 3441 in Columbus, OH.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, James, Donald "Bozo" and Bobby Kiser; sisters, Wanda and Chrystal; and a very special sister in-law, Glenda Kiser.

Billy is survived by his wife, the love of his life for over 40 years, Estelle Munie Kiser, whom he met and married while they both were serving in the army in San Antonio, TX; daughter, Sarah Danielle Kiser Jordan and husband Michael; son, Ian Donald Leo Kiser; mother in-law, Lillian Pohutsky Munie Kelly; two very special non-biological sons, Michael Graham, all of Concord, NC and Joshua Vanderbeck and wife Carrie of Litchfield Park, AZ; sisters, JoAnn Kiser Hays, Patricia Kiser Kouns Lester, and Linda Kiser Stapleton Stevens and husband Dale, all of Grayson; brothers, Luther Kiser of Lumberton, NC, Tommy Kiser and wife Diane of Lexington, Earl Jr. Kiser and wife Kathy of Spring Hill, TN; and many nieces and nephews that will miss him dearly.
