Betty Clay Bowling, 88 of Grayson went to be with her Lord on Friday, December 8, 2017 at Kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland. Betty was born July 4, 1929 in Denton KY, a daughter of the late John Stephen and Carma Bellew Clay. In addition to her parents Betty was preceded in death by her husband of nearly 64 years Commodore "CJ" Bowling; infant sister, Charlotte Clay; three brothers, Cline Clay, James Clay and Howard Clay. She is survived by two sons, Ernest (Shirley) Bowling of Ezel KY and James (Linda) Bowling of Louisa; two daughters, Rebecca (David) Kiger of Grayson and Cassie (Paul) Imel of Raceland; one brother, Marion Clay of Taylorsville GA; eight grandchildren, Bobby Bowling, Erna Lynn Poe, Tommy Bowling, Mary Ann Boggs, Carrie Mulhearn, Maria San Miguel, Rachel San Miguel and Gloria San Miguel; thirteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 12, 1:00 p.m. at Malone Funeral Home with Joseph McCoy and Paul Imel, officiating. Burial is in the Clay Family Cemetery in Denton.
