Beatrice Carroll Mrs. Beatrice Stevens Carroll, age 91, of Olive Hill, passed away Thursday morning, March 23, 2017, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 26, 1925, in Carter County, a daughter of the late Lewis and Ethel Blevins Stevens.
Beatrice was of the Freewill Baptist faith and was a lifelong homemaker. She enjoyed listening to music, cooking, working in her flowers, watching her grandchildren play, and spending time with her family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Ernest Ballard Carroll; one son, Mitchell Carroll; one grandson, Ryan Douglas Carroll; four brothers, Ralph Stevens, Carmel Stevens, Junior Stevens and Ersel Stevens; and two sisters, Cleo Carroll and Kathleen Tipton.
Beatrice is survived by two sons, Roy Talmadge Carroll of Olive Hill, and David Allen Carroll (Shirley) of Flat Gap; two daughters, Faye Carroll of Olive Hill, and Darlene Evans (Jan) of Mansfield, Ohio; ten grandchildren, Randy Evans (Zhen), Wanda Mollett (Jerry), Missy Carroll, Duane Carroll, Jamie Carroll, Courtnea Greene (Josh), Chaston Carroll (Shayla), Lauren Carroll, Kandice Mitchell, and Mikka Mitchell; several great grandchildren; several great-great grandchildren; two brothers, William Stevens of Mansfield, Ohio, and Ernest Gene Stevens (Noma) of Olive Hill; and a special lifelong friend, Chric Mosier. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at the Carroll Cemetery in Olive Hill, with Elder Jim Carroll officiating.
Friends may visit from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Globe Funeral Chapel, 17277 West Highway US 60, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Randy Evans, Chaston Carroll, Josh Greene, Jerry Mollett, Fermon Shepard, and Jan Evans will serve as pallbearers.
