Mrs. Almeda Parker Plummer Tucker, age 89, of Walton, formerly of Olive Hill, passed away Tuesday evening, Nov. 8, 2016, at the St. Elizabeth Hospice Care Center in Edgewood.
She was born Dec. 4, 1926, in Elliott County, a daughter of the late Harold and Bess Jessie Parker.
Almeda was a member of the Church of the Nazarene and was a homemaker. She loved going to church, taking part in church activities and cooking.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Ora Parker and one sister, Ethel Parker.
Almeda is survived by her husband, Reverend George Tucker; three sons, James "Jim" Plummer and Mark Plummer, both of Olive Hill, and John Plummer of Fort Wayne, Indiana; one granddaughter, Nancy Ellis; two great grandchildren, Taylor and Landon; and one sister, Loretta Carroll of Mansfield, Ohio. She also leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will be held at 12 noon Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home in Olive Hill, with Brother Bert Ferguson officiating. Burial will follow in the Jr. O.U.A.M. Cemetery in Olive Hill.
Friends may visit from 10 a.m. to 12 noon Saturday, Nov. 12, 2016, at Oney-Henderson Funeral Home, 145 Gearhart Street, Olive Hill, Kentucky 41164.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
