Alicia Hignite, 37, of Lexington, formerly of Wheelwright, passed away Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington. She was born May 21, 1979 in Pikeville, a daughter of Jerry and Barbara Branham Hall.
Alicia was a graduate of the South Floyd High School and was a 2002 graduate from Morehead State University, where she was member of the Kappa Delta Sorority. She was a member of the Turning Point Church in Lexington. Alicia was a very devoted loving wife and a loving mother of two daughters. She enjoyed helping others and was involved in Mothers of Preschoolers with the Journey Church in Versailles.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Robert "Rob"; two daughters, Kerington Elizabeth and Kadence Noelle, both at home; a sister, Andrea (Matt) Porter of Grayson; Father-In-Law; Mitch (Debbie) Hignite of Grayson; Mother-In-Law, Vicki (Dan) Boster of Grayson; a niece, Sarah Porter and a nephew, Gabe Porter of Grayson who affectionately called her "Big Sissy".
Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Sparks Funeral Home in Grayson, Josh Mauney, minister. Burial will follow in the East Carter County Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 18, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Wednesday, April 19, 2017 at 9:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
